Case Study 1
Elderly Client - Intercom
An Elderly Auckland client was having trouble reaching the Apartments intercom handset before the call disconnected.  Using a PABX interface and adjusting the timing programming we were able to provide not only an extended ringing time, but we were also able to deliver the intercom call to all the telephones on all three floors of the apartment.

Case Study 2
Stroke Patient - Nurse Call
A Whangarei client requested a system whereby his wife could call him if he was out of earshot.  The husband in this case was also hard of hearing so using an AA Radio Page system we provided her with a two button waterproof watch and him with a UFH vibrating pager.  Pressing any button on the watch would cause the pager to vibrate alerting the client to his wifes call. 

Later in the job we added a second pager for a carer to use during the day, and a second radio pendant hung by the bed as a backup to the watch.

Case Study 3
Motor Neuron Patient - Environmental Control
An Auckland client requested a system to provide him with the ability to view visitors and release the Foyer and Apartment doors.  In addition he also wanted to be able to take and make calls on the landline, mobile and intercom system. 

This client had extremely limited use of his hands and was wheelchair bound.  Using Vantage as a base system, and adding a PABX interface with Dragon Naturally Speaking 10, we designed a system that would allow him to perform all these functions from a DECT based wireless headset.  In addition he could control the TV, volume and Satellite channel.  This Vantage / Dragon system would enable him to read the paper for the first time in years.
